At its most basic level, Numerology (and its specific numbers such as Numerology 2 or Numerology 11) is a study, whose aim is to predict numbers and to read their mystical meanings. Numbers and their systems have been fascinating the human kind for ages. Ancient philosophers were looking into numbers for special meaning and had discovered beauty and, it seems, something divine in them.
The history of numerology is as long as the history of human kind. The fast development of mathematics and logic in ancient Greece brought about interest in numbers. Pythagoras, then St. Augustine of Hippo had seen numbers as something mystical or divine, something that was connecting science with the known Universe. Numbers and mathematics were a special, universal language, which could (and can) be understood by any civilization.
Development of numerology was tied to mathematics and with the decline of science in the middle Ages. Numerology has enjoyed an emergence in popularity in modern times. Among thousands of amateurs trying to find perfect combination of numbers and names, specialists such as R.A. Drayer, L.D. Balliett, and J. Jordan should be mentioned.
Nowadays, numbers belong predominantly to the science and mathematics scholars, rather than philosophers. Despite this, many people are trying to employ numbers and strategies to win lotteries, games, and predicting futures and fates. Since numbers are responsible for winning and losing, it’s worth it to understand their systems and statistics to raise the probability of the gaining an advantage in life. And these advantages can be pretty scarce since there are usually millions of combinations in the Lottery alone. For example – the EuroMillions lottery counts 116,531,800 number combinations; EuroJackpot 59,325,280 counts combinations! These numbers are very daunting, but, when considered realistically, they can give a great opportunity to acquire good fortune and control our fates.
There are many different number systems, which are specific to each civilization. Numbers have different meanings in each of them, so the systems are different. In our pursuit of Numerology, we should be considering the following number systems: alphabetical, Pythagorean, Chinese, and Indian.
To fully understand Numerology and its systems, it is important to learn meanings of numbers. At Numerology’s most basic level:
Numerology
1 is leadership
2 is partnership
3 is self-expression
4 is creativity
5 is life experience
6 is responsibility
7 is consciousness
8 is sacrifice
9 is change
These are just some very brief descriptions of Numerological meanings; each number can have at least a few meanings (depending on their context).
Despite all this information, we have to remember that most winners of lotteries and other games of chance are just down to luck. It’s very unlikely that anyone can use Numerology to win the lottery. Instead, people should concentrate on what they can control with Numerology and focus on the important numbers in their life: birth date, childrens’ birth dates, girlfriend’s birth date; date of graduation; date of wedding and so on. This is where we begin to control our destiny through Numerology.
